The Samsung Galaxy S10 range was announced recently at the Mobile World Converence 2019 (MWC2019) in Spain, with Samsung expanding their range to five models. The traditional Galaxy S continues as the Galaxy S10, the extra-large screen option continues with the Galaxy S10+, and three new models have been introduced.

Three new Samsung Galaxy models in addition to S10, S10+

The Galaxy S10e arrives as a lower-cost option, available in three colours and has a 5.8 inch screen.

The second and third announcements were the most significant.

Later in the first half of 2019 Samsung will release their Galaxy S10+ 5G phone, capable of using the latest high-speed 5G data networks, and the Galaxy Fold, a ground-breaking design where a slim phone folds out on a unique hinge to reveal two more screens inside that are seamless, providing the user with a tablet-like display.

All new models feature new technologies such as the ability to charge other wireless-charging devices from the phone, including other phones! The Galaxy S10 and S10+ models no longer need a dedicated fingerprint sensor, unlocking through a new on-screen technology using ultrasonic waves. The S10e uses the existing capactive touch screen fingerprinting method.
