Recently we attended the Awesome Newcastle All-Stars Anniversary event, where 5 previous winners pitched for a bag of cash on the night to further their business ideas... each month Awesome Newcastle invites participants to present on community projects in Newcastle, giving away $1,000 cash to one lucky winner on the night.
Awesome Newcastle opened up their anniversary event to the Newcastle community and raised over $4k on the night for lucky winner - Kate O'Donoghue from Frontline Yoga.
The group off all-stars presented inspiring & humbling stories - including providing free yoga sessions to people working on the frontline, experiencing stress & tragedy; handing out survival candles packs made from recycled materials to the homeless providing them warmth, light and an opportunity to warm up food; tackling metal health issues through surfing initiative "Fluro Friday"; and providing an alternative to flowers in time of grief...
