Diamond actively recruits and keeps the best IT brains in the market. Our staff are recognised industry leaders, innovators and all round impressive people who all have great stories to share.
We'd like you to meet John Vody, performing a dual role as a Business Development Manager and Business Technology Manager.
1. What is your role at Diamond?
My role at Diamond is as a Business Development Manager (BDM) and Business Technology Manager (BTM). I provide guidance on technology and understanding client business objectives. I utilise this understanding to co-develop technology and provide a road map with a focus on the commercial and operational aspects of the business requirements.
2. What do you like most about working at Diamond?
It would have to be the people. It feels like a family - always ready to lend a hand, and go the extra mile for our clients.
3. Why did you choose to enter the field?
It all started with the Commodore 64. Ever since then I have had a close interest in computers which then led me to working at an IT company as help desk technician for six years. I then changed into a different industry (real estate), but always held a passion for IT. I am happy now to be back in the industry at Diamond IT.
4. If you could meet anyone, living or dead who would you choose?
Richard Branson - to sit down with him and enjoy a cup of tea, and get a real insight into his way of thinking and the journey he has travelled.
5. People would be surprised to know...
There are so many surprises, and the joy of getting to know people. Keep being curious!
