Employee Spotlight: Shane Patmore

We’d like you to meet one of our Support Section Leads – Shane Patmore. 

1. What is your role at Diamond?

Support Section Lead - I'm one of the two people working on the Service Desk who is a subject matter expert for a selection of clients; this means I know about their unique configurations and line of business applications. A large part of my role is also being an escalation point for other staff as well as assisting with training and mentoring other up and coming staff members.

2. What do you like most about working at Diamond?

The people and culture at Diamond allow every day to be an enjoyable one. I also get great exposure and experience working on a vast range of customer networks.

3. Why did you choose to enter the field?

I have always had an interest and natural affiliation with IT so it was an obvious choice to study IT at TAFE after High School. This led to my first job in the IT industry in 2011 and I have been in the field ever since.

4. If you could meet anyone, living or dead who would you choose?

David Attenborough, I am a huge fan, when I saw him live he was an exceptional story teller and it would be great to hear about his experiences one on one.

5. People would be surprised to know...

I am in a band with another Diamond employee called XtheY.
