Last month, 5 members of our Technical team finalised their Fortinet Security Expert journey, passing the NSE4 certification exam.
Passing the NSE4 certification exam is no small effort. The team attended an intense, week long training event, followed by several weeks of additional self-directed study and exam preparation.
The week long training event covered two core areas:
FortiGate Security
The FortiGate Security module covered how to use basic FortiGate features, including security profiles, and explored firewall policies, user authentication, SSL VPN, dial-up IPsec VPN, and how to protect your network using security profiles such as IPS, antivirus, web filtering, application control, and more. These administration fundamentals provide a solid understanding of how to implement firewall security in a corporate network.
FortiGate Infrastructure
The FortiGate Infrastructure module covered how to use advanced FortiGate networking and security. Topics included features commonly applied in complex or larger enterprise or MSSP networks, such as advanced routing, transparent mode redundant infrastructure, site-to-site IPsec VPN, SSO, web proxy, and diagnostics.
